![]() ![]() Deinterlacing Issue: It's hard to say exactly why deinterlacing stopped working for you. When you enable "lossless," you're essentially telling the encoder to preserve as much quality as possible, resulting in much larger file sizes. Lossless x264: This one's pretty straightforward. While you mentioned copying your old templates, it might be that certain default settings or internal changes in the newer versions are causing differences in behavior. Updating from 2.13.0 to newer version: StaxRip has undergone many changes and improvements over the different versions. ![]() wtf? how is it 0? what did i check/select/uncheck/unselect this time thats giving me troubles? i import a 8gb m2ts file, staxrip says its going to be roughly 2gb, i select 3000kbps 2pass VBR HEVC, click add job. wth? practically HEVC is now a nogo for me, which is absurd.Īlso, i noticed that staxrip reports 0kkbps bitrate when encoding. i also turned off keyframe or was it timestamps extraction, could that be it? i dont know what im doing, just clicking and placeboing hahaha, but seriously. ![]() im upgrading to 2.29.0 but i truly doubt anything will help. i probably am, but thats besides the point. what the everloving f? how? i copied my old templates, sure, but why am i now getting ok filesizes with x264 (yes, now i know its because i use VBR without lossless checked), but why is HEVC now behaving llike this? i unchecked all b-frames, GOP options, and everything else, left everything at auto (level etc), but to no avail. if i use NVENC HEVC i get 10gb files no matter if i select CBR, VBR, P4, quality, 3000kbps bitrate, 10000 bitrate. ok, lets check staxrip but is says its configured to use the standalone/portable version of avisynth included with it. i mustve messed something up when installing MPCHD or MADVR since it also installed avisynth. no matter which filter i used, deinterlace was a goner. all of a sudden i couldnt get any deinterlace going. pretending i know what im doing, lel.Īnyways, ffwd to like two days ago. then one day i unchecked 'lossless' and that fixed it. for months i just skipped x264 altogether. when i wanted to use x264 i was always getting 20gb files, no matter the bitrate i selected (or VBR for that matter), or duration of the video file. for a long time i was using only NVENC HEVC. i would check for updates from time to time, but it always said there are none. i was using an older version of staxrip for quite some time (2.13.0). ![]()
